The Tenuta Degli Ultimi is a family owned winery that has been in operation for over 80 years. The story of this firm begins with the arrival to Italy of an immigrant, Luigi Caggiano who left his homeland behind to build a life in the country he loved. In 1938, he bought two hectares of land and planted vines on it. Passionate about wine-making, Luigi was soon joined by his son Mario who took charge of production and exports while Luigi retired from public life. Today the estate belongs to their grandchildren Franco and Nicola Caggiano who are committed to preserving its history, its values and its passion for winemaking.
