The estate has been in production since 2000, but the Ricci family have long roots in this region. Benedetto Ricci was born and raised around Collalto near Pedrè-Doline and inherited his grandfather’s passion for vine and wine. His father Romano Ricci studied at Conegliano's prestigious School of Oenology before taking over as winemaker when he returned to work on the family farm with Benedetto. They now make Valdellövo using organic farming methods which help limit their environmental footprint while also improving quality by focusing on sustainable viticulture practices like biodiversity.
