The winery has been owned by one of Italy's oldest noble families since 1887, when they took over from their ancestors who had successfully managed to keep it alive for centuries. They have remained committed to cultivating and producing according to the values of this tradition ever since - both as custodians of history but also because we believe that only through our commitment can people understand why wine makes such an important contribution not just to enjoyment or health (though these are very valid arguments!) but more importantly about how viticulture produces wines with authenticity paralleled nowhere else on Earth. We are committed to: the production of wine from grapes cultivated by us or by our family and partner growers, in a sustainable manner.
