Martino, Antonio, Caterina and Riccardo have done more than carry on their grandfather's wine business-- they've revolutionized it! In the 1940s when Martino's grandfather founded Chiarano Wine Company in a small town near Pove Italy. But now with experience from all over the world working for other distribution companies as well as extensive traveling time spent abroad sampling different wines there is no doubt that these four young people know what they're doing: their company offers an enticing variety of easy to understand wines for daily consumption or any occasion at affordable prices.
Giancarlo Chiarano built his family's legacy of wine by starting up an import-exporting wholesale wine company in the aftermath of World War II, following a stint as military. The wines are appreciated for their respect for tradition and modernity, with attention paid to quality across Italy and abroad. Giancarlo is now passing these things on to future generations -- including 34 hectares located amidst white grapes from owned vineyards that produce world class vintages each year.
The Veneto region of Italy is the birthplace for some famous grapes, but as populations flee and traditions change it becomes hard to maintain these grape varieties. There have been recent improvements in a number of regions thanks to new vineyards being planted with indigenous vines from Marca Trevigiana area that has an excellent reputation among wine enthusiasts. The hope is that this trend continues so future generations can appreciate how delicious wines made from unique Italian grapes taste like!
